Flaxseed Oil Salad Dressing Recipe (Linseed Oil Vinaigrette)

If you are looking for a flaxseed oil salad dressing recipe that is quick to make and full of flavour, this linseed oil vinaigrette is a great place to start.

Light and gently nutty, it's perfect for everyday salads, cheese, cold meats, or fresh bread.

This is a recipe we regularly make using our own cold-pressed culinary linseed oil, grown and bottled on our West Sussex farm. Using a fresh, high-quality oil really does make all the difference.

Why Use Flaxseed (Linseed) Oil in Salad Dressings?

Flaxseed oil, also known as linseed oil, is particularly well-suited to cold recipes such as salad dressings and vinaigrettes.

From our experience, it works so well because it offers:

  • A naturally nutty flavour that enhances salads
  • A rich source of omega-3 fatty acids
  • Cold-pressed production that preserves natural qualities
  • An oil that is ideal for drizzling and mixing rather than heating

Linseed oil should not be heated. Using it in salad dressings is one of the simplest and most enjoyable ways to include it in your diet.
